Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a third-person shooter developed by Epic Games. It is the first part of the original Gears of War trilogy. ###Plot Gears of War takes place on a planet called Sera, that is much like Earth. The radioactive fluid that was later named Imulsion became a potent energy source after the scientists found a way to use it. This substance caused mutations to the wildlife that lived in caves. 14 years later, after several wars, the Coalition of Ordered Governments is the only human government on the planet. You play as Marcus, who gets back in the army after four-year imprisonment for disobeying his commanding officer to save his own father. ###Gameplay Gears Of War revolves around third-person combat and the usage of cover by the player. When the player is hit, the Crimson Omen is displayed on the screen. A crimson red sign that is used as the player's health indicator. To regenerate health, the players have to hide behind cover.
